We were delighted to welcome representatives from Camps International to school in October who introduced our students to a unique and incredible offer. Students have the opportunity to participate in a life-enhancing school expedition in July 2021 for four weeks with the Camps International team.
Kenya is home to some of Africa’s finest beaches, most amazing wildlife including elephants, zebras, giraffes, big cats and monkeys on safari through the exceptional Tsavo National Park and the most beautiful scenery.
Kenya has a diverse population, including the world famous, tall, red-robed Maasai tribe who live around the Kenya-Tanzania border. As part of their expedition, our students will meet the inspiring Mamas of the local villages as they welcome students to the community and teach some of their traditional skills.
Students will also undertake a three-day forest trek on Mount Kasigau, teeming with mammals, birds, reptiles and insects, and rising from the savannah between two outstanding National Parks. They will also catch a glimpse of the ‘Big 5’ in their natural habitat whilst embarking on a two-day safari in the National Park and spending time exploring the stunning wildlife of the conservation ranch.
We are delighted that ten George Pindar students have signed up for this trip of a lifetime and look forward to their fundraising exploits over the next 18 months!
