Our key stage 3 curriculum is designed to build upon the learning experiences that students have had in their primary schools. By following the National Curriculum, we ensure our students’ experience is broad and balanced, with each subject carefully mapped and sequenced to prepare them for the rigour of studying their chosen key stage 4 courses.
At George Pindar School we know that success can be measured in many different ways and that developing the whole child to become positive members of our school and local community is the cornerstone of our curriculum and is promoted through our Pindar Values:
Proud
Independent
Neighbourly
Determined
Aspirational
Respectful
Our key stage 3 curriculum ensures our students are able to “Strive for Success”, making the most of the opportunities available to them; embracing challenges and allowing them to achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.
During their 3 year Key Stage 3, students will learn specialist subject knowledge and will acquire the necessary skills to allow them to progress through their secondary education and beyond. This includes a personal development curriculum that helps to build their confidence, resilience and self-esteem, and to identify and manage risk and make informed choices.
At Key Stage 3, our students will study the following subjects:
