The literacy and numeracy catch-up premium gives schools additional funding to support Year 7 pupils who did not achieve the expected standard in English or Maths at the end of key stage 2 (KS2) (Reading or Maths from September 2016). Until September 2016 the expected standard was a level 4 but moving forward following the removal of ‘Levels’ it is now a standardised score of 100 or more in the KS2 tests at the end of Primary School.
Another opportunity to celebrate success at George Pindar School this morning as students in Y10 whose attitude is good or excellent across all subjects had a pain au chocolat and a hot chocolate during tutor time.
Well done to all of them.
